About the role I Mō te Tūranga 

We are seeking a Branch Coordinator to support our Auckland branch in delivering exceptional events and outstanding service to our members. You’ll work closely with the Branch Manager to coordinate a diverse range of events, deliver a tailored programme of work that supports our members on their governance journey while ensuring seamless operations and customer experiences. 

In this role, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Planning and executing the annual branch programme of events in collaboration with the Branch Manager. 
  • Coordinating all aspects of event delivery, from promotion and registrations to logistics and post-event follow-ups. 
  • Providing proactive support to our members, maintaining an accurate membership database, and promoting IoD initiatives. 
  • Working with the Branch Chair and Committee to coordinate and deliver regional events that engage and inspire.  
  • Managing financial administration, including budget tracking and revenue monitoring

You are an experienced and passionate event coordinator with a customer-focused mindset and excellent administration and organisation skills. Your ability to communicate effectively and solve problems will set you apart, as will your knack for building strong relationships and getting things done. A collaborative team player, you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your initiative and adaptability shines. 

The skills and experience you bring | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako ka mau i a koe 

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in event organisation/coordination and delivery, preferably in a professional environment.   
  • Well-developed relationship, customer service and communication skills. 
  • A flare for organisation and administration
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office), experience at effectively using and maintaining a CRM and confidence navigating the web. Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) would be an advantage. 
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills 
  • Sound judgement and problem solving skills and the ability to work autonomously. 
  • A flexible and adaptable approach and able to prioritise your work.
