As the Nelson-Marlborough branch manager, you will work closely with the branch chair and the branch committee to deliver a programme of events and activities that engage and deliver value to the IoD's Nelson-Marlborough-based members and the wider governance community. You will develop and deliver the branch annual plan eg. speaker events on topical issues for a range of member audiences; new member initiatives and programmes; the local emerging director awards; and informal member networking events. You will engage speakers, sponsors and partners to ensure the branch delivers a relevant, informative and high-quality programme that lifts capability and drives best practice governance in your region.
You are a self-starter who enjoys being a part of a professional and vibrant national-based team. You are a connector and thrive on building and nurturing strong relationships with diverse groups - with your team, the committee, members, customers, partners, sponsors and the local governance and business community. You keep your finger on the pulse of issues that affect our members and can adapt your approach to meet the current and future needs of the governance sector and business landscape. You act with the highest levels of professionalism, integrity and trust and can be counted on to deliver.

This role is 23 hours per week, and is work-from-home. It is a busy, interesting and varied role with a mix of office-based work and being out meeting members and partners, and working with and supporting the committee. It offers great flexibility, including hosting some events and committee meetings outside normal business hours. You will also be invited to attend training and all of team events in Wellington up to twice yearly.
