Since its inception in 2006, The Packaging Forum has been the industry’s voice for collaborative, credible, and sustainable packaging outcomes. As a leading membership organisation, it champions best-practice product stewardship and innovative litter reduction initiatives. Representing over 250 members across a wide spectrum of industries from our largest grocery suppliers and food producers to wine makers and retailers.
With a new Chief Executive Officer at the helm, and our current Chair stepping down we are seeking to appoint a new Independent Board Chair to guide the Forum into its next phase of strategic impact.

The Role
This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for an experienced Chair who is passionate about environmental stewardship and stakeholder engagement. As Board Chair, you will support and mentor the CEO, lead effective governance, and ensure the Forum delivers on its purpose with strategic clarity and influence.

This role requires a commitment of approximately two days per month, including attendance at face-to-face board meetings (held in Auckland), as well as providing executive support and mentoring to our CEO.
For logistical ease and regular in-person engagement, applicants based in Auckland will be preferred.
